Last week we had just the opposite. A politician was attacked by what he actually said, and then took it out of context to convince the gullible it didn’t mean what he said. And then said , in the spirit of “move on” , lets start discussing issues. I am, of course referring to Sarah’s “you know they say the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull. Lipstick.” ad lib. Barack, the big-eared Muslim with the funny name that isn’t on the dollar bill claims he was not referring to Sarah when he said “you know you can, uh, put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.” (That’s not a typo. That’s how he said it.) And his democrat crowd cheered knowingly. “Did you hear what he just said,” I asked Peggy. Barack just called Sarah a pig.” I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. The idiot just lost a couple million female voters. But as we learned back in the 70’s, the cover up is always worse than the crime. Barack claims he was NOT referring to Sarah at all. He was talking about President Bush’s policies and challenged the McCain campaign to start talking about the issues. To my astonishment, the mass media, including some popular conservative radio hosts, were happy to accept this explanation, but here’s the rub. It is he, Barack, who is taking what he himself said, out of context! You see, after the crowd’s applause, the next sentence out of his mouth was “you know you can, uh, you know you can, uh, you you can wrap an old fish in a, in a piece of paper called changes, it’s still going to stink.” (Sorry, the Utube link seems to have disappeared.) He continued, “After 8 years, we’ve had enough of the same old thing.” And his crowd “spontaneously” continued their cheering “no more pit bulls, no more pit bulls!” Once you put his obviously prepared remarks in context, his excuse is no better than “the dog ate my homework.” There’s only one person in the race that can be described as an old fish calling for change. And the 8 years must be referring to man in the White House today. And that leaves “lipstick”. Such creative writing should not go unnoticed. Not only is he a liar, he’s an unrepentant liar, AND a good representative of the liberal Dem Party lately. Pelosi on Energy If Pelosi & Friends hadn’t blocked a vote on energy, we would be only have to wait 9 years and 10 months to get what they say will take 10 years to accomplish. However, if they choose not to address it now that they’ve reconvened, we will have to wait 10 years and 4 months to meet their 10-year goal, assuming the new prez holds sway over them. Congressional office holders are the govt bureaucrat red tape that needs to be cut. And I mean that literally. They weighed their priorities and decided that No. 1 on their agenda was to go on a 5-week paid vacation. Truth is, they don’t want to get any closer to the 10-year completion date next session than they are right now. The Introduction of Barak Obama Do you remember how we were first heard about Barack Obama? He first made natl news when Ted Kennedy mangled his name, this guy orama, osama, obama. Remember? Conservative talk show hosts took the bait and played it over and over again, thinking they were making a fool of Ted Kennedy. Next we heard from none other than Teddy’s bud, Joe Biden, who told US how “clean, articulate”, good looking, etc, he was. He sounded quite condescending, if not prejudice. This became even more popular than Kennedy’s initial introduction as the conservative talk show hosts dutifully spread the word not realizing they had been duped into bringing his name into every home. Rush, Hannity, Savage, etal, were played like fiddles on the Obama band wagon. PROTESTS I heard talking heads claim both conventions were protested by the same people. Well, since the mass media didn’t think it was “fit to print”, most people may assume the same. If you were looking at the Utube offerings, the difference was startling, not only the protesters but the govt response, as well. Truth is the Dems were protested by the anti-war Cindy Sheehan-types who felt betrayed when Pelosi’s Congress continued to finance the war in Iraq. Code Pink, the Chalkers and the Veterans for Peace were major protest groups. They were generally peaceful and faced Star War type Storm Troopers. In contrast, the St Paul protesters included vandals and came with their own ACLU representation. Police were dressed in civilian dress at the beginning but later seemed to upgrade their weaponry, but never took on the menacing look of the Denver forces. I’d expect most of the demonstrations are still available on the WWW. Words do not suffice. The CLINTONS It may come as a surprise to some, but the suit filed vs Barack by the Clintons is still alive.
