In 1993,
we learned Muslims were at war with US,
but our govt was unaware.
Today our govt is at war with US,
and too many of US are unaware.

RICHS RANTS – Health Care Insurance

The majority party has not  allowed the minority party into the health care
insurance decision making process. They repeatedly claim the GOP has no
solutions and want the elderly to die, while they take $500,000.000 out of the
mythical Medicare Trust Fund. Odd as it may seem, the cost savings such as tort
reform and buying insurance across state lines, 2 of the biggest issues being
ignored, would "bend the cost curve", as the prez likes to call it. Also,
including abortions adds cost to tax payers. And who doesn't believe illegal
aliens will be covered, if not in this legislation, then by judicial dictate in
the not-so distant future?

The real stickler, at least to me, is the 1 AM vote which was said to make
passing socialized medicine inevitable was followed by 30 hrs of debate before
the real bill comes out from behind closed doors. Then they vote again on
cloture to limit discussion to another 30 hours for/against the 2,000+ page
replacement bill which may or may not yet be written and certainly cannot be
read or fully understood in the allotted 30 hours prior to taking the vote, the
morning of  Christmas Eve. Good Bye American Pie.

The other thing that questions this govt's bonifides as a legitimate republic
is the timing. Dems claim health insurance is so important they will stay in
session on Christmas Day (for only the 4th time in our nation's history) to
pass this bill. Obviously, the real reason is the Senate majority wants to
limit voter influence over their public representatives! They depend on people
being too busy with Christmas so they vote at 1 AM when we can't even reach
them by phone, fax or email. And now they want to complete the destruction of
the best health care system on the planet by proceeding lickety split in hopes
that come Nov, the citizens they command have forgotten this abuse of power
over the people.

But that aside, the Democrats have not allowed the minority to participate in
the decision making process. They even falsely claim that the GOP has no
solutions and want the elderly to die. Odd as it may seem, cost savings such as
tort reform and buying insurance across state lines are 2 of the biggest cost
savers that would "bend the cost curve", as the prez likes to talk about, have
been voted down by the progressive democrat super majority.

At the same time, they load the bill with billions in pork & bribes for various
democrats. (Traditionally, pork is distribted equally among pols without
concern to party.)

The real stickler, at least to me, is literally middle of the night vote which
is said to have made passing it inevitable will be followed by 30 hrs of debate
before the real bill comes out from behind closed doors. Then they vote again
on cloture to limit discussion for/against the new unread bill.

The other thing that questions this govt's bonifides as a legitimate republic
is the timing. Everyone knows and the Dems claim health insurance is so
important they will stay in session on Christmas Day (for only the 4th time in
our nation's history) to pass this bill. The real reason is the Senate majority
wants to limit voter influence over their public representatives! They depend
on people being too busy with Christmas so they vote at 1 AM when we can't even
reach them by phone, fax or email. And now they want to complete the
destruction of the best health care system on the planet by proceeding lickety
split in hopes that come Nov, the citizens they're ruling over have forgotten
this indiscretion.

Worse than the bill itself, is the destruction they are doing to the
credibility of the govt decision process itself. Paying $300,000,000 dollars of
tax payer hard earned money to buy a vote opposed by the People or threatening
to close a USAF Base in Nebraska for political reasons if their senator doesn't
vote "right", or exempting a state from Medicade taxes in perpertuity is
downright unAmerican. These acts, bribing & threatening, violate the American
system we cherish and demand be re-instituted forthwith; and the perps tarred,
feathered and run out of town on a rail.

Here’s another example of gov’t gone amok. First the White House says that the
prez will sign the Crap & Trade Treaty because not to do so would “force” the
EPA to enforce CO2 limits & taxes on same. Obviously, the president has no such
authority without proper legislation, so how can he delegate one of his
administrative czars to do what he cannot?

Seems that the prez 2nd trip to Copenhagen wasn’t any more successful than the
first. He failed in his mission both times, altho there are whispers it’s going
to still cost US billions.

As expected, after cutting the F-22 Raptor project, so the US could buy more
F-35’s, the F-35 Lightning project is in danger of being killed. Duh.

Personally, after the Democrat multiple trillion dollar spending sprees, I
can’t imagine how we can keep either in the air if built. Maybe we could reduce
our debt by selling them to Red China.

TEXAS GOVERNOR RACE
With Kay Bailey Hutchison stepping down for the Senate to face off Vs Rick
Perry in the primaries, the political season is officially opened in Texas .
Kay’s been doing some heavy advertising for the last several weeks; Perry just
started.  I am naturally suspicious of anyone that would give up a soft job in
Washington , DC , to assume duties as a guv. I originally thought her intention
was to shepard the NAFTA Hwy thru TX, (Zachary Construction, the Hutchison
family jewel, was awarded the concrete contract) but that doesn’t look like it
is going to happen any more. She’s put off her resignation at least twice; she
now plans to submit it after the primary. Worst thing I can think of Rick Perry
doing was turning down the emergency Unemployment due to fedl strings. Cost me
$5,000 personally, but I still agree his decision was best for Texas , so I
can’t hold that Vs him. As for me, I don’t plan to vote for either or any other
incumbent.

WAR
The prez’ field commander, Genl Petreus, told him he needed 40,000 troops or
risk losing the war. He predicted a lengthy battle for victory. The prez had a
series of meetings with a cadre of civilian czars. 3 months later he told them
he would accept the risk and send 30,000 troops starting next year to win the
war in 18 months, effective last month.
