USE THE FORCE, CONSERVATIVES

“A lot of my thoughts revolve around a Third Force, which differs considerably
from a Third Party. I'll explain more later, but Third Forces shape political
parties, not vice versa. Conservatives should be the strongest Third Force in
American politics, with no close second place.  The upcoming primaries should
be our focus, not November 2010, as well as maximizing conservatives use of new
and alternative media.”

- Richard Viguerie, chairman of ConservativeHQ.com

THREE FACES OF EVE NAPOLITANO

“The system worked.”

“In many ways, this system has worked.”

“Once the incident occurred, the system worked.”

- Homeland (In)Security chief Janet Napolitano last weekend continuously
revising and extending her remarks on the Knicker Bomber’s effort to blow an
American airliner out of the sky on Christmas day

OBAMA’S MIXED WAR ON TERROR MESSAGES

"After eleven months in office, the president is still sending contradictory
messages on national security. He says he wants to address the threats yet look
at how he has responded to (the underpants bomber), how he responded to Fort
Hood, how he's open to prosecuting folks in the CIA, how he's closing
Guantanamo Bay, and how he's bringing terror suspects to New York City. . . .
The president may express his concern but his decisions are the statements that
people remember.”

- Michigan Congressman Pete Hoekstra

MUTH’S TRUTHS

In one of the starkest examples of closing the barn door after the horse is
already out, Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) now says she “wants no more
Guantanamo Bay detainees released to Yemen in the wake of a Christmas day
terrorist attack hatched in that country,” saying the country was “too
unstable.”

Duh.  Ya think?

When will DiFi Democrats realize the problem isn’t which country we release
terrorists into; it’s releasing the terrorists at all?  And when will they
realize that the Knicker Bomber’s effort wasn’t a crime, but an act of war?

Oh, and in case you missed it, ABC News has reported that two of the
masterminds behind the Knicker Bomber’s effort to blow a passenger jet out of
the sky were at one time enemy combatants who were held at the Guantanamo Bay
prison.  However, the pair was released in 2007 as pressure to close the
military facility by forces on the Left – meaning Democrats - escalated.

Instead of holding these barbarians indefinitely so they couldn’t try to kill
more Americans, our government sent them to Saudi Arabia where they were
enrolled in – and I sh*t you not about this – an “art therapy rehabilitation
program.”

How many Americans are going to have to actually die before the Left’s
head-up-their-butts crowd wake up to the reality of this war on terror?

One final thought:

It’s abundantly clear that the Knicker Bomber matter was a giant fuster-cluck
by the federal government’s security agencies.  And some people actually think
it’s a good idea to put our health care system in the hands of these people?

AS THE ENSIGN TURNS

TPMMuckraker is characterizing it as an “ambush,” but any objective look at
THIS CNN interview of scandal-plagued Sen. John Ensign (R-Appalachian Trail)
will confirm that Ensign did nothing but stonewall and spin his way out of
answering very simple, very direct, very legitimate questions about his ethical
and perhaps legal troubles.

It’s bad enough Ensign cost Republicans eight U.S. Senate seats in 2008 while
head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), thanks to the
distraction of sleeping with his chief-of-staff’s wife and then trying to cover
it up that year, but staying in office now will continue to hurt Republicans at
the ballot box, especially the eventual GOP nominee who will be going up
against Harry Reid next November.

Why won’t this guy just do the honorable thing and resign?
