"Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to
take arms,
but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of
their daily life".

Mass Primary

I confess. I’ve been toying with the idea to vote in the primary. It’s been a
long time since I felt secure enough to think I knew enough about the
candidates. Based on my limited knowledge, Gov Perry is a better choice than
Kay Bailey Hutchison. Both are conservative. They were both up to their hips in
the NAFTA (TTC – Texas Trans Corridor) but he’s got the executive experience
she does not. Perry has supported Tea Parties (spoke to them way back on April
15)  and has been among the first govs to talk about X Amendment.

That’s it. That’s all I knew and I shared it with you the reader.

To my great surprise, one reader took great exception. I hadn’t even heard of
the candidate he was promoting, which proves how wise I’ve been all these years
not voting in the primaries.

7 PM tonight (Thurs), the GOP candidates will debate on TV, Gov Rick Perry, Sen
Kay Bailey Hutchison and Debra Medina. Google her.

I don’t know anything else about Medina except what  I googled. Obviously she’s
a serious person not to be ignored. Appears to be conservative. I’ll be looking
for “common sense” which is in short supply in politics lately.

I have already explained my concern with Perry and Hutchison, but as each day
passes, I recall some other related things.

Rick Perry condoned the raid on the FLDS bigamist community in San Angelo , TX
. It is a knee jerk reaction to condemn families with multiple wives, but I
have a hard time trying to distinguish the difference between them and other
communities where some men impregnate many women without benefit of a marriage
license and do not care for the offspring that result. Why round up hundreds of
children who are being taken care of by loving parents and ignore the thousands
of kids born daily to unwed mothers in county hospitals all over the nation
sired by men who have no interest in supporting them financially or
emotionally---ever? By my count less than 1% of the people the State of Texas
placed in custody were ever criminally charged.

Seems to me a man who has abandoned the mothers and their children carrying his
DNA with no intention, or even awareness, of his responsibilities is much worse
than the bigamist who loves, cares and supports his children and their mothers.

Don’t you wonder how many of the 6 or 700 people lives they disrupted are
better/worse off? What are the consequences of the govt intrusion? Were our tax
dollars spent wasted and counter-productive? Did they ever find whose hair they
found on the church bed where marriages were supposedly consumated?

If positive, I say, let’s start raiding maternity wards coast-to-coast saving
bastards and sending the guilty to prison.

The logic of ignoring immorally deprived studs while persecuting and
prosecuting fathers supporting the women they have children with is a no
brainer.

And just to be fair, it is hard to understand why a U.S. Senator would step
DOWN to become gov of a state with a weak governor form of govt. He/she can’t
even reprieve a mass murderer waiting his turn in the gas chamber. If she
really wanted to do something at the state level, she should be running where
the power is, Lt. Gov.  There has to be something else involved in her
decision. That would be a good question for the monitor to ask today. Actually,
15 minutes from now.

Did you watch? It strated off badly with an advertisement by AARP.

Hutchison showed why she is the most popular pol in Texas . She was smooth and
had command of the facts. In response to a question from Perry, Hutchison went
on the record of supporting Roe vs Wade! She sounded like the old time clothes
hanger arguments of the past. Not good for a candidate claiming the
conservative mantel. Her support of the fedl bail outs left wanting.

Perry was mostly on defense. He talked about past successes, such as
business-friendly tort reform, that limits the excesses of law suits that has
drawn jobs to the state.

Debra Medina was a surprise. As an RN, she was the only one who knew Texas law
allowed elderly to be taken off ventilators to die against their wishes and the
wishes of their family. After a slick question from Hutchison, Medina responded
saying she wants to eliminate property taxes and replace it with a broad based
consumer sales taxes. This reflected on Perry. Medina is a gun-carrying common
sense patriot who thinks the State of Texas should spend more time defending
our southern border. Her answers were solid conservative but still at odds with
the other 2. Debra was the only of the three to make herself available for
questions after the debate.

They said the debate will be available at:
TexasDebates.org
http://texasdebates.org/video.php

The Texas primary is scheduled for March 2.

One last thing. I’m still wondering if there is connection to a Susan Hutchison
from King County ( Seattle ), who spells her last name the same unusual way,
with a missing “n”. Turns out she is running for a local office.

Haiti
‘Twas early ‘60’s when I was a young naval airman serving aboard the USS Wasp
making a carrot-and-stick visit to Haiti . The Hangar bay was filled with Care
packages, and the civilian officials from the island were treated to a show of
force. They and I high up on )& deck   watched a nuclear sub and nuclear
frigate show off. It was awesome.
Afterwards we had some eye-opening shore liberty where we saw what abject
poverty was like---a crowded city lined with roadside vendors in front of
windowless shacks with walls of corrugated steel, and prostitutes on the curbs
drawing passer-bys into the whore houses.
In the 90’s the govt Haitian pols were giving each other necklaces made of
rubber tires. They’d tie them around an opponents neck and set them afire. What
a way to die. Clinton was backing a defrocked priest, if I remember right, and
Jimmy Carter was doing his thing, negotiating a peace between the warring
parties. And the B-52’s had to abort their mission when Carter refused orders
to get out of harm’s way. Clinton ’s man won, but was later driven from office
in a wave of corruption.
Ah, the good ole days.

NEBRASKA
There is no better example proving how out-of-touch Washington , DC , is than
Sen Ben Nelson who secured a multi-billion bribe for his state. The senator is
obviously less honorable than the people he represents.
Below is the cover story, but it doesn’t explain why he has fallen so far in
the polls when he sold his vote betraying the honest people who elected him.

The making of a Monopoly
The USPS is a true monopoly. Even FedEx and UPS fought for years to get the
USPS’s permission to exist. If a corp ever tried to deliver a piece of mail for
less than the cost of a first stamp they’d find themselves buried in cease and
desist orders from the USG/USPS.
So you see, when BHO said the USPS is the model the prez cited for his
nationwide group health insurance program: start up your own health
clinic/groups health insurance, and abide by the rules and regs the insurance
czar thinks appropriate.

THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO, HMMM IN THE NIGHT
Have you noticed how fast this Admin is changing our govt? Have you noticed the
WH is not concerned about how many Dems will survive their next election? Have
you wondered how Obama will be able to get on the ballots of 50 states in 2012
without a birth certificate, hmmm.

Question of the day.
How long and deep does a recession have to go to be a depression?

REMEMBER WHEN...
…  the problem was we hadn’t built new refinery in this country for 25 years?
At least one refinery has been closed down until demand goes up. Maybe that is
their reason for raising gas prices again? The price has nearly doubled since
it’s lows last year.  Either that or George Soros and Goldman Sachs are
“playing” in futures again.

Things you can't say aloud---because the answer might scare you.
How does Obama plan to get registered on state ballots in 2012 without a birth
certificate?
