Once again the arrogance on display by politicians was unbelievable as hundreds
(300-400) of Tea Party Leaders from across the State asked republicans to
deliver a conservative Texas House Speaker.
They avoided us at all cost, when Barbara Nash saw the crowd she went the
opposite way. When we went to Diane Patrick's office her staff said she was
talking to someone, Rick Rose could see into her office, her husband was in
there and taking stuff in and out. She could hear us talking and she did not
come out. The republicans went underground into the Reagan Building to avoid us
all. He went to the stairways in the Reagan building where we could see them
going up stairs to caucus. It was like looking at hamsters in a glass cage. The
ones that were ashamed of what they were about to do avoided eye contact and
acted as if we weren't even there. Never have we witnessed such mass arrogance
by elected officials.
The Joe Straus got 70 votes out of 110, one republican blocked a secret vote.
We are working to find out who that was. Republicans will have one more chance
to redeem themselves when they do the house vote tomorrow publicly 01/11/11.
We request you get on the phone this morning and call Diane Patrick and Barbara
Nash and ask them once again to vote against Joe Straus.
Bill Zedler and Rodney Anderson voted for Paxton. We will have their back. Pics
