Dear Members, Things are really heating up with the Union protests in Madison, WI. As you know, the Unions gathered their membership in full force. Over 1,100 teachers called in sick. Today marks the second day that school was not in session in WI. Remember when the left wing loons chastised the Tea Party for the violent rhetoric? They portrayed us as Nazis with Swastikas and Hitler mustaches on our posters. As we all know, there is always a couple of nut jobs in a crowd, but this time, the left has embraced violent and hateful rhetoric in their protest up in Madison, WI. Do you remember in 2003 when the Texas Democrats escaped to Oklahoma to avoid voting on a redistricting bill? Well, they did the same thing in Wisconsin. Someone tracked them down and found that they were across the boarder in Illinois, at a Best Western Resort. Also, reported today was the fact that the DNC was involved in helping organize this protest. Just so happens that Organizing For America (a DNC arm) was involved. Wisconsin is over $3.5 Billion in debt. Here is the essence of the bill that Republican Scott Walker wants to pass: "In addition to eliminating collective-bargaining rights, the legislation also would make public workers pay half the costs of their pensions and at least 12.6 percent of their health care coverage - increases Walker calls "modest" compared with those in the private sector. Republican leaders said they expected Wisconsin residents would be pleased with the savings the bill would achieve - $30 million by July 1 and $300 million over the next two years to address a $3.6 billion budget shortfall."
