ANOTHER DEMOCRAT GAME AFOOT: Puerto Rico , the 51st state? The last time I heard, Puerto Rico & US pols were scheming to trick the citizens of Puerto Rico to vote for becoming the 51st state. They were going to issue a referendum for the Puerto Rican to decide the future status of Puerto Rico . It would work in 2 stages, something like this: Round 1 Purto Rico should (pick 1) 1. seek statehood. 2. seek independence from the US . 3. Do nothing The assumption was that Round 1 would eliminate “Do nothing” And Round 2 (pick one) 1. seek statehood. 2. seek independence from the US . Faced with this choice, PRs would vote for statehood. Democrats figure most Purto Ricans, given a chance, would vote Democrat. Guess they underestimated the Puerto Rican citizens got out and didn’t fool anyone, so in good democrat fashion, try, try again. The current crop of Democrat-socialists-Marxists in the White House are very ingenius in getting unpopular bills passed thru Congress. They have figured out why the Puerto Rico State legislation did not pass and have taken corrective action.
