UPDATE 12/12/2011 11:54PM

Nativity Scene Rally in Athens, Texas--December 17, 2011

Program begins at Noon Saturday.

We talked to Henderson County Judge Richard Sanders. Judge Sanders was very
appreciative of the Grassroots support from local, state and national
responders. He said that he has heard from most local news outlets and some of
the national news programs.

He welcomes Tea Party Organizations as well as Religious and Community
supporters. He emphasized that this is not a political rally. It is a rally in
support of the Nativity and religious freedom. He clearly stated that the birth
of Christ is the reason for the season and the reason for the Nativity.

Agenda for the Nativity Program

Four area pastors will speak. Nathan Lorick, pastor of First Baptist Malakoff,
will officiate and begin the event. Afterwards, three other area pastors will
speak, with prayer between each speaker. Pastor Lorickwill be the final
speaker. This event is still evolving. Everyone who attends is asked to bring
one (or more) cans of food to be donated to Henderson County area food pantries.

Flags and signs for the event:

This is not a political event. No candidates will be allowed to speak and
please do not bring candidate political signs. I would say that a Religious
Christmas theme is in order. A sign that says, "We support Religious Freedom"--
"The United States has a Christian Foundation." "Jesus is the Reason for the
Season"---You can be creative.

Judge Sanders told us today that flags are welcome. The U.S. Flag, The Texas
Flag, Religious Flags and he also stated that the Gonzales Flag, "Come and Take
It" would be OK. The emphasis is on taking our religious freedoms away. The
T-Party flag "Don't Tread On Me" is also welcome.

For those who want to came early --either Friday evening or Saturday Morning.

Mel Moss, Coordinator of the Arlington Tea Party / Lone Star Tea Party has
volunteered to set up a staging area at the corner of Larkin and Hi Way 19 near
the square in Athens. This area is right in front of the Old Henderson County
Jail201 Larkin. It is an open parking lot and is where we suggest you park. It
is within walking distance of the Nativity Scene. County Judge Sanders gave us
permission to stage here.

The Henderson County Tea Party has an office in the Republican headquarters
building across from the Nativity Scene on the courthouse square. Jeff Tuley
(Henderson County tea Party) has offered this area is case of bad weather or if
someone needs assistance. There is a restroom in this building. The press will
also be welcome to conduct interviews in the facility.

"Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion
of the day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished
period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers
(adminstrators) too plainly proves a deliberate, systematic plan
of reducing us to slavery."
