This is disappointing. Mitt Romney is saying he will "replace and supersede" Obama's order with something permanent. Imagine that. He wants to replace Obama’s unconstitutional Executive Order with his own unconstitutional Executive Order! To be Constitutional, Congress would have to write and pass an immigration law (Article I, section 1) that was “uniform” (Article I, Section 8, Clause 4). Different laws for different classes isn’t Constitutional, period. If children under the age of 30, are eligible for citizenship in they were brought into the country by their parents without going thru the existing immigration process, then to be “uniform”, all immigrants regardless of age or nation of origin must be eligible. It is patently unConstitutional to discriminate based on age as it is on race. Why shouldn't their parents who brought them into the country also qualify for amnesy? Nor should anyone have to wait in line any longer just because they are over 30. Nor should some have to pass a test on the Constitution and pay immigration fees that the under-30 group do not. They have an equal right to become citizens of the USA , If memory serves, Paul McCartney spent thousands of dollars and 10 yrs to gain US citizenship.
