How can this not be settled in court? I have no problem with a candidate distributing cell phones to his followers to assure their loyalty come Nov 6, as long as he or his campaign re-imburses the fedl govt for the cost of the phones including any shipping or handling fees incurred. The tax payer should not have to pay one red cent for this political promotion. Of course, the same offer should not be limited to a single candidate. The same transaction must be extended to opposition to be legal. If not, the perp and all involved parties should be charged with theft of govt property and brought to court to lay claim to recover the cost including court costs.
