Pilgrims, a Secret Society? The story of the Pilgrims is well known. They landed in the wrong place (Plymouth Rock), set up camp and built a community pantry to feed themselves. Winter came, food ran out, half died, and Indians saved the survivors. Thus we have Thanksgiving. William Bradford took over as leader, ditched the socialist community pantry, distributed a plot of land to every family, and told them to grow their own food. Success! Lesson learned. http://www.mayflowerfamilies.com/colonial_life/pilgrims.htm
Who were these people, our ancestors? Google: àpilgrims mayflower Dunham (aka John Goodman) àpilgrims mayflower Ayers (aka Eyers) àpilgrims mayflower Geithner àpilgrims mayflower Jarrett àpilgrims mayflower Axlerod àpilgrims 97 others Coincidence? 5 hits out of 102. Not a common name among them. I think not. Here’s a litle tid bit I learned while in the Navy. All the pics I’ve seen of the Pilgrims are normal sized people, men and women alike. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~deuel/index.htm However, when I toured the USS Constitution, aka Old Iron Sides, there was a display of uniforms worn by the crew 2 centuries later. These people were approx 4-5 feet tall. I suspect, that would be average height of the Founding Fathers too. Rich Martin I am TEA Party It is the duty of the Patriot to protect their country from its government! Thomas Paine With all the precedents set in the last 4 years, I don’t know why we need a Congress. Rich Martin Normally, when someone says Mormon, we think multiple-wives. This time, with a Mormon running for president, nary a word in the media. Why? It’s not because everyone knows Mormons now have but one wife; it is because Muslim’s can have FOUR wives! Shh! Don’t tell anyone. Isn’t it ironic that President Obama is so reveled in the nation's Black community, when the Luo tribe from which he came has a history of selling prisoners of rival African tribes to the Muslims who delivered them to the auction blocks in Europe and America?
