Miscarriage of Justice and dirty politics Before there was Mark Basseley Youssef, there was Zimmerman. Before there was Zimmerman, there was the 6 Lacrosse players from Duke, and before that, there was most feared Cong Tom Delay. Texas Law says that corps cannot contribute to political campaigns. Anybody who believes a bunch of pols would pass a law that cuts off a major source of campaign funds is living in Fantasy Land . Actually, the law was passed to sooth tax payer worry about corps having too much political influence in Texas . The law had a built-in gaping hole in it exploited regularly by both parties. They simply contributed to the parties thru an out-of-state org which would send the money back to the parties’ candidates. Remember, this was a common practice of both parties in Texas . Tom Delay was an effective leader in the House and was acccodingly hated by the DemocRATs. He had one of these out-of-state offices that would receive Corp contributions and deposit them. Then checks would be issued to designated Party candidates.
Well, the DemocRATs called Delay’s org a money laundering scheme, as indeed it was. But not an illegal laundering scheme. It was designed to fool the public, not to break the law. Anyway, they charged Delay with laundering political cash and he was found guilty. The difference between his org, and their laundering orgs, they explained was that his wasn’t disguised. They were able to trace every receipt to a check written to a TX GOP candidate dollar for dollar. That they said is a crime---and he was found guilty. He resigned his seat in Congress and became a lobbyist in Washington , DC. That was in 2006. In 2008, he appealed his conviction. As far as I know, the money laudering process is still being used by Texas pols from both parties. If they changed the law, they certainly didn’t do it in the light of day. And just as certainly, they are still receiving a lot of cash from friendly corps. Anyway, his appeal is finally coming up on the docket. https://news.google.com/news/story?ncl=http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/12 /us/tom-delays-victories-endure-even-if-he-loses-in-court.html&hl=en&geo=us Justice delayed is justice denied. It is the duty of the Patriot to protect their country from its government! Thomas Paine Bush’s tax cuts are Obama’s tax increases. Both the largest in history. Rich Martin Normally, when someone says Mormon, we think multiple-wives. This time, with a Mormon running for president, nary a word in the media. Why? It’s not because everyone knows Mormons now take but one wife; it is because Muslim’s can take FOUR wives! Shh! Don’t tell anyone. Isn’t it ironic that President Obama is so reveled in the nation's Black community, when the Luo tribe from which he came has a history of selling prisoners of rival African tribes to the Muslims who delivered them to the auction blocks in Europe and America? http://www.maggiesnotebook.com/history-of-democrat-racism/ When replying to this message, plz cc: [email protected] to assure prompt reply.
