Tax the Rich - Remember the war on luxury yachts? As long as I can remember, Boston area residents drove to New Hampshire on weekends to stock up their liquor cabinets.
I remember Congressman Fr Dryden promoting a law to tax Mass citizens who purchased cigs in Southern states to avoid the high tobacco taxes. And, 'twern't but a couple of years ago, Sen John Kerry got caught parking his yacht in Providence, Rhode Island.
