Late last week Senators Corker and Hoeven introduced an amendment to the S.744 Amnesty Bill. This "amendment" which is over 1,000 pages long essentially replaced the entire bill. Now, the Senate is set to vote for cloture on the "NEW Amnesty Bill" this evening around 5:30pm edt, which means they are voting to end debate. So late last week, they drop in a new 1,000+ page bill and tonight they are voting to end debate? This seems eerily familiar - just like Obamacare but WORSE! This is it! This is the final stand on Amnesty in the Senate. If this bill becomes law, if the President is allowed to sign this piece of legislation, millions of illegal immigrants will be granted amnesty - and when that happens, it can't be undone. Shouldn't our Representatives be putting more thought into how to really reform our immigration policy, rather than what appears to be an "amnesty" at all costs approach?
