About 5 weeks ago, we (the vet and I) discovered that a foreign body had gotten trapped between her teats. 3 weeks ago he came out to remove it - the culprit....a stick....about 2.5" long, fat as a man's pinkie, shaped like an arrowhead. It had moved upwards about 5" inside. It's just taking a long time to heal, so our endurance career is put off a bit. Maybe I'll get to Pigeon Mountain in May. Thanks again to all who offered to help crew, being a sounding board for questions, etc. A little bummed I won't get to swill a beer with the infamous Howard or pay that $3 for a hot tub swim. But hey, the equine gal comes first and she says, "Mom, I'm too sick for you to go have a good time." I guess I'll get the garden tilled. Have fun.
