In case you didn't get rump rug directions, they are easy, do need a sewing machine.
Most fleece is 60 inches. Measure from where you want to attach to your saddle to where you want to end it, usually about tail head. Cut, and then make about a 1 inch tuck 6 or 8 inches on each side of center to shape over the horses butt. You need either wide heavy grograin ribbon, carpet tape, or such for binding. put all the way around. You can put small weights (washers will work) in the 2 back corners if you want. If you can grommets and setter, put three in the front, mark center and where they will fit where you want to tie to the saddle. If you don't use grommets just make good sturdy buton holes. Use ribbon, tape, shoestrings, whatever to tie on. That's it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ridecamp Guest: Rachel Boyce" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, March 16, 2002 11:57 AM Subject: [RC] rump rugs Rachel Boyce [EMAIL PROTECTED] ok, so I went out and bought a bunch of beautiful soft fleece with the idea of making one or two rump rugs out of it. Now I need some kindly person to tell me how to go about doing that. I don't have a sewing machine, but I could probably get access to one if I had to. Can you help?
