I thought this might affect us all.

Attention horse and pet owners:
ENFORCEMENT ALERT!!

Did you know that the AAFCO (American Association of Feed Control Officials) is trying
to remove from sale many of the ingredients that are commonly used in horse, dog, and
cat food and supplements? These ingredients include Glucosamine, Chondroitin Sulfate,
MSM, most herbal ingredients and many others.

Very soon your ability to purchase these products from pet stores, tack shops,
catalogs, feed stores, or veterinarians will no longer exist.
Enforcement will begin in April. All of these products will continue to be available
for humans in drugstores and supermarkets at much higher prices. State government is
trying to control the choices you can make on how you feed your animals.

If you want to help, we need legislators to either extend DSHEA ( Dietary Supplement
and Health Education Act, 1994) to include dogs, cats, and horses; or to introduce a
similar new bill.
