Thanks so much for the many responses to my wound care post. I'm taking Niki in Monday morning to have her leg worked on. I had some concerns that some of the sarcoid had grown back under the proud flesh while the vet feels what I'm dealing with is sarcoid instead of proud flesh. At any rate, he'll surgically remove it and keep her for a week to monitor her progress. Big scary step worrying how she'll deal with *gasp!* strangers but what a relief to think we might be able to put this behind us in the near future.
