Even though I am a staunch defender of LDs, you didn't
"put down" those who choose to do it. Thank you. Obviously,
some people may only be able to do LD because of physical limitations. But
in any case, I appreciated your assessment of LD being "pleasure". Some
will probably disagree. I enjoy a good competition, even at LD and let's
face it, LD is FUN. I ride 50s and I aspire to 100s and multi days but I
DO enjoy LD when I have the opportunity to ride it. I have a youngster
coming up this year that I hope to have ready by fall for a couple of 25 LD
rides and realized I am really looking forward to it. :) It IS a
pleasure.
