Yeah, I'm watching a watermelon mare too, and for the same reason - 
miscalculation on dates.  Not my fault, honest (well, sorta not my 
fault).  She was bred late last May, and then 21 days later came back into 
heat, was bred again and 21 days after *that* came into heat a third time 
and was bred.  Apparently one of the first two heats she took, and it looks 
likely that it's the first one.  Sooooo - the mare that was supposed to 
leave shortly for ND is not going anywhere, and the Lif that was scheduled 
to do a few things too is stuck here watching, not having a clue which is 
the correct date of impregnation and so.... I wait.  First foal for this 
mare - if it was one of my more experienced mares I'd be more comfortable.

She's at the bagging up/halfway there stage, which could of course change 
in 24 hours to the foal-any-minute-if-you'll-just-stop-looking stage.
