A mare of mine out on lease produced a viable set of twins, although the colt would have been in major trouble if someone hadn't been in attendance, as he was too small and weak to reach the udder to nurse. (He went on to be raised by hand.) The filly was of a normal size and needed no help at all. They are now five years old; the filly has a foal of her own. The colt reached 14 hands and the filly is 14.3 or so.
