Being from Texas, I think I can justly answer that y'all is a perfectly acceptable word (at least to us Southerners), just as much as "fixin' to"! 'Where are y'all from? How far are y'all riding to today? And then, to make things interesting, make it plural. 'What bloodlines do y'alls' (or is that y'all's) horses have?'
