Pat & Linda, Remember that getting a larger inverter still has it's limitations. We can run the refrigerator a full 4 days (and more if we don't go off and leave the lights on)with 4 golf car batteries. An a/c unit or 1500 watt electric heater will draw a LOT of power though--not sure you would want to haul enough batteries to make that a viable option. We recommend catalytic propane for heat, and for A/C we haven't found a practical way around a generator.
