I have the plain (uncovered) full size pad (fits both a Synergist and an
English saddle). It has two sets nylon straps that run front to back. One
set is midway down the pad, with velcro on each end and this goes over/under
the girth rigging; the second set is at the bottom and the girth slides
through it. Either one would hold the pad in place. You could probably
just sew on the equivalent upper straps - those are the ones that really
hold it in place. The saddle and pad never move apart with this
arrangement.

Subject: [RC] Supracor slipping, need advice

Hi all!

Now that it's finally drying up a bit here and I'm able to hit the trails,
I'm finally able to test out my saddle with the Supracor pad. The pad worked
great on the flat and seems to be a temporary fix to some saddle pressure
points.

Here's the deal: after about 5 miles of ups and downs through gullies, the
dern thing tries to creep out from under the saddle (I have it tied to the
saddle so it can't completely whoosh out the back). I'm using an OF
endurance cutback without the booties (for closer contact with my leg). The
Supracor pad is naked, no cover (do they make a cover?).

Making the breastcollar more snug seems to worsen the problem of the pad
slip, but keeps my saddle in place better. The Toklat pad I was using last
season would stay with the saddle yet allowed the saddle to slip forward
into place after a steep climb. The same thing is not happening with the
Supracor. So when the saddle wants to move forward into place, the pad just
stays there. Thus the creep. (That's my theory anyway.) Also, my mare's
shoulder movement seems to want to push this pad back once it reaches a
critical point.

I'm thinking about velcroing the pad to the OF panels. Thoughts? Any other
proposed solutions?

Thanks all.
