You're talking about Johnny and Jane West.  I wanted one but they came
out a little late for me...just like Marvo the Mustang which also looked
fun.

My sister got him. His name was Thunderbolt. His tail came off too but it
was a blessing in disguise.  I have no idea why, but one day one of the
kids at our house put his mouth on the opening and blew.  Since the horse
was splitting a little on the seam it made the most incredible
noise...sort of like one of those Polynesian guys standing on a bluff
blowing on a Conch shell.  Try it. It never failed to bring a great
laugh. :-)
