Thermo refdg They will kill a battery FAST they run ALL the time and only cool to about 40 deg below what ever the outside temp is. I have one, use it only with the motor running and during the day with the solar panels and LARGE golf cart batteries. I shut it off at night.
Propane is only real way, However the 12vdc compressor models from Norcold are ok - I have 2 the small one 3ft does a good job I run it full up during the day then cut back to low at night. Does not run down the battery. The larger one takes a bit to run (4ft) COST about $400 for a small one. Easier to install then propane and with good batteries it is fine.
