Does anyone really think that ride volunteers do it for the free food/drink and free camping? (geez -- just love those porta-pots, especially after a day or two in the beating sun!!) Suuurrreee, I use all that gas to drive to rides, and pay to board my dog for the weekend, just to get a free meal ticket and lunches that arrive at the vet check at 3:30! We do it because we're masochistic fools who love the sport and the teams (horses *and* people) who compete in it.
