I just wondered what might be the best way to get some help with my horses. I can't pay barn help, so I thought about help in exchange for riding or doing on premises leases to cover some expenses and get the horses groomed and ridden. I'm not talking a stall cleaner. I am very particular about everything from what bit is used on the horse to how its feet are trimmed and I have a specific rotation for worming. My facilities are nothing more than my backyard, but I do trailer out at least once a week. I have 2 nice geldings that don't buck/rear/bolt (crowhop doesn't count, right?), are actually controllable in a mass start of 75+ horses, and do everything short of tip the vets. Then I have a greenie that just needs miles and could carry a heavyweight. And one too young to ride yet so she just hangs around and sucks up attention like a vacuum (the filly raffled to help Ed Paige). So I have 2 that are fine for anyone with a few brain cells.
