I've always thought of them more like soft core porn, myself...
It's true not all big name barns are full of crooked snotty trainers, just
as it is true that there are small time crooks in abundance in the horse world.
I've had some dealings with some upstanding people who were featured in
multipaged spreads in the glossies.
I just think the odds of getting shafted go up as the $$$ involved goes up,
personally.
