Hey Mel,

I have fed dry peet pulp pellets for years and years, like over ten. Never
had a problem. The only time I've ever had a problem with choke was with a
dry hay cube, while at a show where maybe Nanna was a bit nervous and tried
to eat her food a bit fast.

I don't think there is any more risk feeding dry BP pellets than feeding any
other dry pellets, such as alfalfa pellets. If your horse tends to bolt its
feed, you may want to try things to slow them down, like putting large rocks
in the feed tub. If your horse has choked before I think they can injure
and/or have chronic inflamation of their esophagus and have an increased
likelihood of future choking incidents.

In either case, bolting feed or a past choking incident, I don't think I'd
feed dry pellets. But in most cases I think feeding dry BP pellets is safe.
But, of course at a ride I don't think you'd want to feed it dry, too
counterproductive to keeping the horse hydrated.

Just my 2 cents, probably worth about 2 cents less....

Cheryl
