Hello everyone,
I'm so happy today I rode my 4 year old for the first time in 3 weeks he has had an
absess in his right rear foot and has been layed off.... He did so wonderful today it
felt like I had rode him the day before or something no spooking, trotted like a
champ. I'm really excited to get him in his first ride in june or july he is gonna be
a great endurance horse!!! I havent done a ride sence 2000 but I think I'm ready to
start back up again. I had to retire my 15 year old Polaris because he has kidney
problems and the only kind of milage he can do now are 25ers.
I have been trainning like mad for the last year and half to get Ozzy where he needed
to be before his first ride....

I have read allot of your guys postings about showing scandels and I do have to
agree those horses are mistreated I use to work for show ppl and it pretty much all
about the money they win and not really about the horses.....I got my 4 year old Ozzy
from show ppl he was a halter champion and he won 10 grand in Arizona but then he fell
in the trailer on the way home and hurt him self and now he has water on the knee (
one knee bigger then the other but no lameness) and that is considered a "flaw" in the
show world. So they gave away a perfectly sound 1/2 arab 1/2 standerbreed that is
worth at one time 20 grand just because one knee is slightly bigger then the other. So
thats how we got him. He has wonderful show blood lines and all....
We are lucky when we got him other wise he would be dog food right now!!!

Life sometimes has a way of working things out:-)

Happy Trails
Colleen K. & Polaris & Ozzy
