Yes, good points. However, I would like to talk about maggots - literally. Can anyone tell me anything about "flystrike"? I've never heard of this. Is flystrike something that happens to horses? I just heard about it with respect to someone's dog who died of it just yesterday. I looked on the internet and couldn't really figure it out - it appears to be a situation when maggots get into a wound and then somehow the critter dies. Is there some disease involved? I thought using maggots on wounds was coming back into popularity (oh yuck, spare me the treatment).
