Yes, it has been done. There was a poster paper in the Bordeaux IUCr
congress (1990) by Boysen et al. and I guess it was written up in full at
some time. There may be others, but I think this was the first.

In addition, in some cases, information on the anharmonic behaviour can be
obtained from the temperature dependence of B's refined on a harmonic
approximation [See Willis and Pryor (1975), "Thermal Vibrations in
Crystallography"]. I have recently used this to gain some insight into the
behaviour of cubic zirconia at high temperatures [Kisi and Yuxiang, J.
Phys. Condensed Matter, 10 (1998), 3823-3832].
