My research group is applying Rietveld methods to the quantitative
mineralogical analysis of ancient ceramics to determine also the non
cristaline phases produced during the firing process. We have made
some work on it and we proposed to make it in a systematic way in any
archaeometric study of ancient ceramic but it is a long way to it.
