Hiya all
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Bruker D8 system
with the Hi-Star area detector and Goebel mirrors? We're trying to weigh up
the advantages and disadvantages for different users, and as I'm the one who
does the Rietveld work I need to fight my corner! How does the resolution
compare with alternative detectors? The Goebel mirrors are supposed to give
nice peak shapes, but has anyone refined any data from this setup
(especially with software other than Topaz)? Are there any nasty surprises
that the saleman may not have mentioned?!
