Hello,
I am a PhD student of "La Sapienza" University of Rome,
I am carrying out as a function of doping and temperature a systematic
study of the lattice modulation characterizing the high Tc superconductor
Bi2212. The diffraction patterns were collected using synchrotron x-ray on
high quality powder samples of Bi2212. Previously I have analized the
average lattice structure with GSAS, but the refinement was not so good
because of the strong super-lattice peaks. Thus now I am trying to refine
with the FullProff program also the modulated structure, but I am run
into some difficulties.
The 4-dimensional superspace group is N Bbmb/1-11, but if I put in the
.PCR file N B b m b / 1 -1 1 (in all formats) the FullProff program
responds "Error in the S.G. symbol"!
My questions are:
Can FullProff understand the superspace group symbols or not?
If yes in what format?
There are other programs which can understand superspace group symbols?
Thanks for the answers.
Stefano
