Hallo Colleagues,
We have been using the new X'Pert Pro of Philips for five months now. As we
purchased this instrument for high-temperature, high-pressure applications,
we are more interested in intensity than in resolution at the moment. We
therefore operate the instrument with a 0.5 mm receiving slit.
We also have been using the Rietveld programme called X'Pert Plus from
Philips for quantitative phase analysis. We have on more than one occasion
refined more than 100 parameters, without serious problems regarding
unstability. As the data-base is rather limited, we had to add our own
phases and found that we could add them easily.
