While I can understand the general rationale for the idea (minimize the weight of the very strong reflections to the final integrated intensity for the reflection), could you expand further on your level of success and any analysis you have carried out on this plan? In particular, if you or anyone else has anything out in print that discusses this I would be very interested. Bhuv, You could also think of doing a pseudo-Gandolfi like data collection by rotating about omega and phi simultaneously. I think that even if you have a fixed chi setup you can do it since I think that the chi is fixed at close to the magic angle.
