Hi everybody

I'd like to introduce myself.. My name is Joo Barbosa and I work as a
physicist at CDTN ( a nuclear research centre in Brazil) . At moment I'm
studying magnesites to find out why some of them are taken into a
decreptation process in a furnace. I have collected magnesite data and I
want to refine them by Rietveld method but I have a profile problem. A
have used all profiles options available in GSAS but nothing has worked.
The only way to get a good fit was to adopt an extra phase with cell
parameters close to those of the main phase. This had to be done for
all samples no matter whether they were decreptated or not. All the
samples require the same treatment. Does someone know where my problem
stands? Is this extra phase physically reliable?

Thank you in advance
