How can I get access to the ICSD database through the web? I found a link
at http://icsdweb.fiz-karlsruhe.de/. But can I get free access to these
databases and if so how can I get to register here?
The 2006/1 version of the ICSD database with 89,064 inorganic structures is about to be released. It contains 2224 new entries and 7916 updated entries, while 2810 were deleted (the data quality for deleted entries was not sufficiently high :-) )
You have free access to a selection of 3325 structures on http://icsdweb.fiz-karlsruhe.de/, with all features of the full database. You can purchase a license for the full database by emailing Ms Silke Rehme at FIZ Karlsruhe. Then you can either use the full database on the FIZ server, or install it on your own server or PC.
