Hi Angel,

I believe that 2theta/theta locked is the same as Locked Coupled but you can
start with an offset. So you can start theta and 2theta at different
positions and from that point theta=(½*2theta)+offset.

I guess this is like tilting the sample plane in a standard locked coupled
experiment.

I’m happy to be corrected.

Regards

Martin

Subject: 2Theta/theta locked versus Locked Coupled

Dear colleagues:

I would like to ask for a technical question. Does any of you remerber which
is the difference between the scan types 2Theta/theta locked and Locked
Coupled in a D8 Advance from Brukers?

I understand that locked coupled moves 2theta and theta, forcing
theta=½*2theta.

What about 2theta/theta locked?

Thanks in advance for the response
