In my opinion, it can be an indirect indication of the presence of
glauconite. Since some peaks cannot be easily detected in the qualitative
analysis due to the broadness of the peaks and/or the high-background,  I
am sometimes obliged to make this indirect interpretation.  However, in
this case, I am generally going back to the qualitative analysis and trying
to confirm this indirect interpretation.
