I have no problem with the proposed approach. For my own purposes, I'd want to know if, in the long run, it might make adding in JDK5 annotations any easier or more straightforward, or if it might bring any other benefits. For instance, AFAICT it sets up a second inheritance hierarchy that is independent of the POJO hierarchy, so hey why the heck not try it out. For my own purposes, I'd like to (for example) be able to define a boolean attribute for every instance variable/field, namely: is the field in question user-defined or app-defined ? This info could be used thruout my app. A separate hierarchy of metadata classes might enable some pretty cool stuff, as compared to the existing mechanism. my 0,02e fred -- F.Baube * Georgetown/MSFS/1988 * Act locally. email fbaube#welho.com * Think pangalactically. gsm +358 41 536 8192 * wmd 60°11'10.8"N 24°57'36.9"E _______________________________________________ Rife-users mailing list [email protected] http://www.uwyn.com/mailman/listinfo/rife-users
