Hello all,

I have started to explore CRUD and I am trying to do something which is perhaps not possible with it.

Let's assume I have a table "user" with columns : userid, name, password, profileid

profileid is the id of a row in a profile table where the columns may be : address, phone number etc...

The relation between user and profile is one-to-one. For each row of user I have one row of profile.

Is it possible with CRUD to get a page where I can enter/edit data for the combined rows from the user and profile tables. I'd like to have an area of the form dedicated to the user table and an area dedicated to the profile one.

I am not sure it is possible. I have made some attempts with the association constraint but without success. Of course, I don't need to do all the work with CRUD. I just want to understand how far I can go with CRUD and what are the things that I'll have to do by hand and how they will cooperate with CRUD. That's still far from being clear in my mind.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Christophe.
