Hi Yinglcs2,
release 1.4 didn't sufficiently report startup exceptions like this
because it relied on exception chaining to do so (the standard
ServletException class doesn't seem to chain well).
Could you try with the latest nightly snapshot built? (http://
rifers.org/downloads/rife/snapshots/)
The error messages will be probably much more useful.
