I am a previous Tomcat Fan :) Then i tried to work with Jumpstart and was very suprised.
Jetty is a lot smaller than tomcat and so the turn around time to develop/run/test are very short. And to restart jetty,if i need to, is very short.
In most cases you do not need it. Tomcat is a little heavy to work with in development.
You can stop Jetty with the stop symbol in the Eclipse Console. This stops the process. It`s
quick and easy. With Jumpstart you are a lot faster to start a project. And no long setup :)

And as i'm more familiar with Tomcat, i started to look for an integration with Tomcat. By now, i'm very happy with this configuration, but since it's little tricky to configure the first time, i just wrote a very detailed howto, that should (i hope so !) help Eclipse/Tomcat zealots ;-)
I think i will be able to post it on the wiki by the end of next week.

Have you tried the Jumpstart though? I does exactly the same, except
with Jetty (but that shouldn't be a problem).
