Thanks for your answer. I had been experimenting with the option of no
url for the embedded element but in that effort put the submission
handling code in the embedding element: obviously wrong.
Now I have success with handling the inline editing of the embedded
element and redisplay the result (after making it persistent) of this.
But one of the options of the embedded element is to 'remove its self'
from the embedded list.
This requires a total redisplay of the embedding element without the one
that 'removed its self'. The removal is made persistent.
(The application is about a reservation - the input bean - for a tour,
filling in travellers - the embedded elements - for the requested number
of seats with the option to remove to remove a requested seat)
So, how my next question is how to bail out of a embedded element (with
submission but no url) to the embedding element.
