[Rife-users] Parameterized outer joins?

Say I want to add an outer join to a select with a parameterized join 
condition:

select.joinOuter("othertable", Select.LEFT, Select.ON,
                  "mytable.id = othertable.mytableid " +
                  "AND othertable.recordtype = ?");
How do I specify the value of the "?" there? Possible?
