Hi Henk,

RIFE's continuations are not persistable since that would require every object in the local variable scope to be serializable. I this this is a heavy burden to lay on developers. Also, it's tricky to get custom serialization and deserialization to work correctly, and even more tricky when data structures evolve. However, technically it should be possible to optionally support this and have different continuation storage backends support. If you want to work on this ... feel free ;-)

Take care,

Geert

Hi,

I stumbled upon the Dalma project. It can be used to construct workflows using continuations. Rife also support continuations, but do you think it would be possible to persist the state of the conversation ? That way, Rife can be used for workflows too. Please forgive me if this is a stupid idea. Only just starting to understand this continuations thing.

Thanks

Henk
