Hi Maxim,

you can integrate the forum into any RIFE site and set it up at any URL. You can also use a single sign-in. To customize it, you can simply start from the existing Bamboo templates and use your own design instead.

Actually, this project has been designed specifically for the integration into another site and has been extremely well tested for production. (the original site has however been retired for a new version and the forum is now only accessible in a read-only fashion: http://old.netwerk.be). This forum had almost 100000 posts and 30000 users.

The reason why the project is not popular is because there never has been a formal 1.0 release. JR, who is the main author, has been too busy at his daytime job and got interrupted in the middle of adding support for MySQL and other databases (currently only PostgreSQL is supported). I have been too busy with RIFE itself and haven't been able to work on the final 1.0 either.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Geert

Hi

I found in svn very exciting project named "Bamboo".
But it seams that project is not very popular or not ?
Is it stable and can it be used in production ?

And main question:
Is there easy way to integrate it with another my rife site.
I mean change URL for forum and make single sign in for my site and forum ?

Also if i need some forum customization what should i do - change its
sources or i can create my own template with new column and amke some action
to Bamboo use my template not default one ?

Thank's
